how to apply visa to china?

I heard that they give you exact the time as you applied, is that true??
and do I need to have invitation letter to apply for the visa?

are u chinese? most of time they give u 3 months, u cant give a reason like travel, don't need invitation unless u go there working or study.

it all depends on what kind of visa you're applying
for work visa, you'll need the letter from the company you're gonna work for
if it's just visiting visa, you just go there with your passport and fill up the form

it's sad that i need to apply visa to go back to my homeland

they don't allow multiple citizenship in china

grant dual citizenship, that's good enough for me
