hi:

Any one has the experience of buying stuff in ebay?
I want to buy some stuff from it, and the stuff is in
USA, so I have to pay the US tax and Canada tax both?
and my credit card is CDN and the price of stuff is US
dollars, so the bank will transfer my money to us dollars?

税我就不晓得，但是你的信用卡公司会把美圆的价钱换算成加元的，而且是用比较低的汇率算，大概也就1。45-1。47那样子

I've placed bids on EBay before. If you live in Canada, then you should only pay Canadian sales taxes if the origin of the product is USA, and you'll have to pay duty tax on products from other countries. On some products the duty tax is actually higher than the GST and PST combined, however there are cases where the duty is lower than the sales taxes. It all depends on what you buy. Although many sellers do accept credit cards, but I always feel skeptical about giving my credit card numbers to complete strangers. The preferred method of payment is either by PayPal or the one offered by EBay, hyperWallet if I'm not mistaken. Money order is another way I'd consider since PayPal charges 1.5% service fee on every transaction, the trade-off is that money order is usually slower because the seller will not ship the winning bid before he/she receives the money order.

I want to buy a book. The book in ebay is $25(CDN) and in chapter is $65(CDN).
So I think it is good idea to buy it at ebay.
