The ISWE Group will be having a fund-raising event on Friday 23rd July, 2004. This event is to raise money to offset the cost of doing all our booklets we are sending to all the levels of government with YOUR testimonials and survey results.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
You can post your testimonials on the discussion forum or email it to iswecanada@yahoo.ca but we need a soft copy of this so we can include it in our publications.
Finally, we need you to support this event. Tickets are $5.00 and $6.00. The event will feature foods from the Caribbean and this is because 4/5 people who regularly attend our meetings are from the Caribbean and will be cooking everything.
On the menu we have,
Trinidadian Chicken Roti $6.00
Trinidadian Vegetarian Roti $5.00
Jamaican Jerk chicken with potato salad and fried rice $6.00
We will also have pop available for 75cents a can and a variety of desserts including cheesecake.
TICKETS CAN BE BOUGHT AT THE ISA FRONT DESK AT 501 UNIVERSITY CENTER, the GSA office, Mike's place, and by emailing iswecanada@yahoo.ca
We also need volunteers for this event to hand out information there, to talk to people about why we are doing this, and show that we are working together and we have a strong voice.
Right now, the existing committee is relying on our Canadian friends to make this event successful. But this is YOUR time to be heard, so please come and help and support us.
