Required Skill Set
At least 3 years' experience within the last 7 years in the design, coding and implementation of applications using the Java technology.
At least 6 months' experience within the last 6 years in the design, coding and implementation of applications using Enterprise Java Beans.
At least 3 months' experience in developing strategies, plans and/or architectures to transition an organization from traditional application development (Cobol etc.) to the Java, Enterprise Java Beans and Component Based Development technologies.
At least 3 months' experience in the education (mentoring, training, coaching, guiding) of traditional application developers to transition them to Java, Enterprise Java Beans and Component Based Development technologies.
Project Details
Interact with and consult with staff to foster skills and knowledge transfer
Ensure communication with staff and management is open, continuous and timely
Assist staff in coaching various areas of the organization (project management team, project and non-project developers) in techniques, best practices and standards required for application development projects using object-oriented techniques and component based development.
