technically, police is legal to say that in conference,because they had charged and arrested him. I don't think he can get bailed out. He will be called officially after be sentenced by court. And the conference is still not a formal place.
It's not like in China. Police will keep the evidence and present to court. It's not you and me to judge if he is guilty or not, it's the jury in court who determine him guilty or not. If police tell the public all the evidence they have, the jury will have bias to deliver their decision. Remember the jury has the final word on this guy's fate.
