Ontario政府规定，landlord每年应该向其tenant支付6%的deposit的利息。如果你已住满一年，而且没有得到此利息，应该问问你的landlord. If your deposit is $1,000, for example, you are entitled to get $60 per year from your landlord. Goog luck!

Can I report to the rental company and ask the money back now?

Yes. I have been with Minto for several years. Every March, Minto give me a letter saying they credit the interest money of my deposit at 6% annual rate to my rent.

Yes, you can ask the money back. I found out this policy after I moved out the apt about a year later. Then I asked the rental office about this, they sent the money to me.

Every year I got about 40$ interest, my deposite is around 670$.

I doubt if you didn't sign any contract. There's no way to prove you made some deposit.
