The Worst mover: L&M Movers; The best: Five Star

一直还搞不清L&M为什么要害我. 但事情是这样的:
1. Called the guy about three weeks before moving, he said he would come to my home to do an estimation on the following Sunday
2. He did not come
3. Called him again two weeks before moving, he gave me a flat price right away, and got my address, the moving time.
4. Called him two days before moving, the cell phone was not on
5. Called him one days before moving, the cell phone was not on
6. Called him the moring of the moving day and left a message
5. Called him one hour before and left another message
6. Two hour after the scheduled moving time, called again, left a message.
7. By 3:20 in the afternoon, I was frustrated and gave up. So I called Five Star (another moving company), they came at 6 o'clock and did an excellent job.
8. L&M never called me ever since!!!!!!!!!!!


My experience:
1. I should not contact L&M after step 2
2. Flat price means bad service !!!!
3. L&M is the worst mover in the world!!!!. All numbers of L&M (1-866-318-1113, and 860-1644, and ???) are eventually switched to a Roger's Cell Phone.
4. Five Star is really good. The two guys do things carefully and quickly. In the end, it costed me less than the flat price of L&M

Five Stars: 742-0630.
They charges a minimum of 2-hour plus 1-hour on road.

They charged me 65$ per-hour (two labours). I spent only 260$ and everything was in place in my new home.

If I used L&M, it would be 250$ but they would not put everything in designated rooms, and would be ruthless to my stuff since it was a flat price. They even asked for 300 bucks at the very beginning.

I just moved two days ago from downtown to Kanata, Five star is the best. I could not expect more.

Five Star has very good movers. But the size of car used for my moving is not very big. If you have too much stuff, you should tell and ask a bigger car when you book an appointment. They are good people.

They has a big truck and service is satifying.

Is the price you spent for 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom? Is tax included in the price?

It's a one bedroom. The truck I got was a little bit small. Bigger truck would definintely be better. Tax included.

I will move soon, want to make a decision between Five star and Trinity. I am now living in a 2 bedroom apt.
