POSITION: TIME ADMINISTRATOR (Regular Full-Time, 6 positions)
LOCATION: HEAD OFFICE ? TIME ADMINISTRATION
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Coordinator, Time Administration, the incumbent ensures all time is
accounted for, recorded, analyzed and evaluated to ensure accuracy and integrity of employee time information in
SAP. The Time Administrator ensures that time information is in compliance with HR and Payroll Policies and
Procedures, Collective Agreements, Terms & Conditions of Employment and Legislated Employment Standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures timesheets are collected from department timekeepers and all time is accounted for in each pay period
for their assigned clients; enters in SAP within established timelines, and analyses the data to ensure accuracy;
• Provides support to Centre and Head Office Timekeepers on all aspects of Time Administration;
• Understands the language and the impact of related information of the Collective agreements provisions and non-union
Terms & Conditions of Employment, and analyses data to ensure it is properly recorded;
• Performs periodical audits of time balances to ensure all time has been captured correctly;
• Implements any system-wide changes, additions and modifications to the SAP system;
• Provides guidance and advice to Managers, Timekeepers, and employees on changes to work schedule rules;
• Maintains current knowledge of CBS Payroll and HR programs and how they affect their assigned clients;
• Maintains regular communication with various stakeholders; and
• Develops and maintains a variety of system reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly and ad hoc basis.
QUALIFICATIONS: Post secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic
institution is required. A Community College Diploma in Business Administration ? Accounting is preferred.
Certification at Level 1 of the Payroll Management Certificate Program (PMCP) is necessary. A minimum of three
years of progressive related experience is required. Experience with automated Finance/Payroll/HR systems is
required with SAP experience a definite asset. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving capabilities and the ability
to understand collective agreements are essential. Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
