Heard government hired lots of Chinese from Hi-Tech recently in Ottawa.Questions:
1, Are they mostly contact position, 0.5 or 1 year? possibility of prolong or changing to permanent?
2, Average salary? difference compare to the Hi-tech job?
3, 20k moved to government job recently in Ottawa. What is the percentage of Chinese?

really how can we begin if we have interest

20K?这个数字是革命乐观主义和浪漫主义的完美结合.:)

The government does have annual recruitment campaign, depends on which job category...normally, the positions are both contractors and permanent. Contracting positions are at least 1/2 year long, and have higher range of pay. The salary range for IT field are about $50K+, in comparing with the private sectors, a more relaxing working environment... :)

All permanent positions must be obtained through competitions, except for contracts though.

Hope this helps...

Where can I find the job posting for government? I didn't see anything on the newspaper or web. Thanks.

search jobs open to pulic on google.
