Description: The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, Office of the Fire Marshal, seeks an individual with strong data-management and application-development skills to support the collection, verification and reporting of fire loss statistics and data. You will: maintain, develop, optimize client-server, web-based statistical applications; provide expert assistance for complex client data, statistical requests; help section statistics/data co-ordinator with data management, research/reporting activities, section webmaster with web posting activities.
Qualifications: knowledge of/proven experience with MS Office 2000, Access programming, Oracle database technology, SQL including ODBC, ASP, FrontPage, Visual Studio .NET; strong data-management, research, customer-service, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication skills; ability to work with minimal supervision, meet deadlines, manage competing priorities.
Area of Search: restricted to OPS employees living or working within 125 km of 5775 Yonge St., North York.
