Why my life here is so sad?

Maybe I should tell you my feel because I dont want to make you feel sad. but I feel so sad today and I cried when I talked with my mother by phone this morning. This was my frist time cried in a few years.
Here the people are so selfish, they just care about money. I was a good engineer in China and my life was happy in Beijing. I gave up everything to come here the main reason was I wanted to change my life and find my love. but here the people have no feeling about friend, love...They just care about money and sex. I spend more than $500 to share a house with a chinese( Shanghainess and his lover), I gave them a free trip when they visited Beijing. They invited me to share with them. but they always make trouble with me. You cant believe this. I didnt sleep for 2 nights.
Now I want to find a place to live, but I dont know what will happen again.
So can anyone tell me WHAT DO THE PEOPLE CARE EXCEPT MONEY AND SEX?

Money isn't everything, but u r nothing without money

It's simply god damn true that everyone measure u by money. u need money for ur bills, to support ur family. forget so-called spiritous true love, it doesn't exists, especially here in canada. u probably could find someone would like to spend rest of his/her life even if u were nothing when u were really nothing in campus, now, boys and girls, u'd better forget it.</HTML>

And I feel shamed of what the shanghai couple do to you. But I hope you will get it over, and hold on. the life will be beautiful and wonderful.

<HTML>Another Engineer? Another Shanghainese? Well, we've got far toooooo many already. Just kidding, we can never have enough. Welcome to Ottawa, to Canada, where you do have a choice to realize your bright future.
And, with more Shanghainese here, we are able to wipe off people's prejudice towards Shanghainese, we like anybody from Beijing, Guangzhou, or Wuhan, are more or less the same. We all have our bright spots and weakness, and most important is, we care, we care about others, and we also care what others think of us. So we try our best to do everything perfectly. Not necessarily we succeed every time, but we have tried. I feel sorry about the girl(?!) upstairs, but step out of the apartment, meet more friends. If you don't like the couple, just step away then. As she said,she immigrated for a change in life, then why get upset with "old friend"? A bright new life is out there, just put yourself together, and go get it. Good luck. To you, new comer and the girl upstairs. </HTML>
