Essential Functions:
- Monthly journal entries and account analysis (reconciliation, variances analysis) - Ensures monthly Tax Credit accruals are accurate. - Financial analysis, Labor reporting - Financial reporting to all account frameworks including GIS, as well as all LOS. - Prepare spreadsheets and data manipulation as needed (Excel, Access, etc.) - Prepare slides for Financial presentations (Powerpoint) - Assist Finance Manager in yearly budget calculations and reporting - Ad hoc reporting, as requested by the Finance Manager or internal clients - Suggests and develops new processes that optimizes Finance services delivery - Any other tasks needed to meet financial data requirements and reporting requirements.
Essential Knowledge:
Knowledge in accounting functions, including GL, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, P&L reporting, Project reporting, Budget and Financial analysis
Essential Education:
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field. Preference accorded to candidates working towards a professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA). One year experience related accounting field
Essential Skills:
Proficient PC skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and Access. Strong analytical skills with orientation for details. Good interpersonal skills. Good written and oral communication skills (in English and French);
Organizational "Fit" Considerations:
Ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision, in a complex environment. Must have a customer and service oriented focus, committed to meeting the job requirements and deadlines.
