Hello Everybody!
Women in Leadership Foundation (WIL) is the premier women's organization that provides forums and programs for career and leadership growth while bridging employers with outstanding women across Canada.
WIL has some programs and events that ESSCO members may be interested in. In 2004/2005, we are travelling to 22 post secondary institutions throughout Ontario. Our focus is women in non traditional job sectors. We host career fairs, Info Sessions, Panels and Leadership Development Workshops. We profile top female executives and women in senior positions at our Panel Discussions or Info Sessions. The events are free and open to all (registeration is required). I have attached our schedule of activities. More specifically, we will be hosting two events in the Ottawa area:
October 5th, 2004 "Mechanical Engineering Industry Info Session" at Algonquin College
January 20th, 2005 "Aerospace Engineering Industry Info Session, Leadership Development Workshop, Technology Panel Discussion"at Carleton University
Would you like to see any particular companies at these events? Do you have any suggestions for female speakers?
We also have the Leadership Development Program (LDP) that female ESSCO members are welcome to participate in. LDP is a national program that connects top female candidates with employers of choice and forwards the advancement of the country's best and brightest. See website for LDP application info or interested members can directly apply at our events.
