Even the ads of CFC shows a $1280 price for a round trip between Beijing and Ottawa.

The price of $1280 is from Ottawa to Beijing to Ottawa, if you come from Beijing to Ottawa to Beijing, the price is $1580(CFC told me) since there is a business peak in Sept and Otc.

That depends on where you start your trip.
