which high school is better for new comer?

Hi everyone, who knows which high schools are better in Ottawa? Which one is more suitable for new immigrant. My daughter will come to Ottawa this winter for high school. Those friends who know about high schools please give me some ideas. Thanks a lot.

Glebe used tobe good,but not anymore..80% from Asia..
better to find out where are the rich people live,and where are the poor people live,most new Canadian live in towntown,and rich people buy houses far from downtown..

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I am sure your idea will play a big role in my decision where we should live. People also told me that school is important but neighborhood seems more important for kid growth in Canada or USA. But, I worry that rich area schools do not pay much attention to the new comer and rich kids look down on our kids.

If you live around glebe, you should go to glebe, cuz the other high school is not as good (ranking on the paper 3 yrs ago) as Glebe.

and if you need to take ESL, you will HAVE TO go to Glebe, since that is the only on around. There aren't that many ESL schools.

不要住在红灯区..a lot lower income people lives in downtown..and bad place for people take drugs and prostitute..

Lisgar is the best one in Ottawa. However there is no ESL program in Lisgar.

应该是88年的，在这上高3，
上大学还要考 toefl,
这高中的课，她都学过了，
上学也学不着什么，
如果学 esl ，普通的学校更好些，
因为没有中国人，一年英文就没问题了。

如果上初中就要容易选择得多，
上高中，你更多的会关心校风如何，交什么朋友等。
