[问题] 去多伦多走走416－401和走7－401有何优劣？

我都是走416－401，不知道走7－401有什么好处和坏处？

416-401, longer distance, but two lanes for each direction on hwy 416, seperator in the middle, safer to drive and easier to pass.

7-401, shorter distance, two lane hwy on 7, hence more dangers to drive and harder to pass, especially when one slow car that jammed up other cars in the front of yours.

But you will use same time eventually.

50 km diff between the two routes.

In autumn, hwy 7 is the first choice, especially the time around ThanksGiving. Very nice view, you even won't drive too fast to miss them.

Hwy 401 is so boring, nothing to see at all.

I heard there is a federal-provincial plan to make #7 multi-laned. Then again, this is Canada and it is likely to happen in 2010+ (when even the Moon will be visited the second time ).

They only plan to expand to 4-lane for section from 417 to Carleton Place.
