PARTS RESEARCHER - OTTAWA

Chipworks is the premiere source of knowledge of what’s inside technology through creative investigation and analysis. We are currently seeking a Parts Researcher who will be responsible for researching the availability of devices and recommending purchases of downstream products to in order to find parts required for technical analysis. Reporting to the Manager, Program Management, your primary responsibilities will include:
Anticipating market needs and proactively researching parts by investigating consumer products, performing market research through the internet, direct supplier contacts, trade journals, news briefs and other publications and conducting on-line database research
Maintaining an extensive collection of parts information by developing relationships with potential suppliers and other contacts
Maintaining and managing parts requirements and providing all necessary information for required parts to staff as required
The successful candidate must have technical knowledge of microelectronics and the semiconductor industry. You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electronics industry searching for electronic components using various search venues such as internet, on-line databases, trade journals, etc.
