"What's a Sugar Glider?"
Well, a Sugar Glider is a marsupial originally from around Australia and the forests of New Guinea. They are nocturnal, tree dwelling animals. Sugar Gliders are really a type of possum, but they are very similar to flying squirrels. They are called Sugar Gliders because they have a membrane that drapes from their wrists to their ankles which allows them to glide through the air when they leap from tree to tree. In the wild, they eat nectar and the sweet sap from trees as well as berries, fruits, nuts and seeds. They also need protein which they normally get from bird eggs, worms, or insects.
