Suppose you got a movie clip which is 1G bytes, and it plays for 30
minutes. So to play it, the speed you need is only 0.5-0.6 Mbps.
Suppose you have 4 computers to share the lan, even with unit-cast,
10bps is more than eough theorectically.

minutes. So to play it, the speed you need is only 0.5-0.6 Mbps.
Suppose you have 4 computers to share the lan, even with unit-cast,
10bps is more than eough theorectically.

just math

1G bytes / 30 min = 33.3 Mbytes/min = 267 Mb/min

how can you only need 0.5-0.6 Mbps ?

if you have 4 computers for that movie clip, you need a 1Gbps




anyway, i don't think 802.11G is better than 802.11B except for LAN use
