u can not sponsor your girl friend. u can sponsor your fiancee. and you have to get married within 3months of her arrivral. otherwise, she will be sent back. why do not you go back and marry her 1st? it is lot easier?

COMMON_LAW Partner means you two should live together for over one year.
And when you claim your last year tax return, you should claim you two as common_law partner.
In the new immigrant law, you can apply for your common_law partner instead of fiancee.
