Your dog can be registered for free if he is
1. neutured
2. microchipped
Both can be done at a vet's clinic, neuturing costs about $200, microchip $75, altogether you're looking at $300.
The registeration fee is FREE if both of the above criteria have been met. If not, it will only cost you $15 to register a dog.
A microchip is a computer chip injected underneath the dog's neck or shoulder. The chip has your information, so if he is ever lost upon scanning the chip they can be able to contact you. If you are going to get your dog neutured, get him microchipped at the same time, it will cost less.
