Today I thought I might switche Rogers cable to Bell satillite. I pay 25$ includign tax. Using Bell may pay 25$+tax, but get more channels. The other reason is to get big discount for long distance calls in canada and US because I have had DSL BASIC with Bell.
However, I am worrying about the quality of receiving signals. There may be starting cost such as equipment and installation.

This is why I am looking for advices.

Satellite signal quality is quite better than cabel.
But you have to pay $99 installation fee and reciever for around $150. Also you need a wall facing fouth to install the dish.

Bell ExpressVu is better than Rogers Cable if you want high quality TV services. You can have more flexiable choices. You can pick up your favourate channels one by one, don't have to be a whole package.

Now, the first time setup fee (including everything) is $100. It's a good deal. I spent $200 plus last year.

You can sign two-year bundle contact with your DSL hi-speed and get $10 credit each month, plus the $5 for 1000 mins long distance plan.

Thank you very much.
I don't have a wall facing south since I am living in town house. Is it impossible to install ExpreesVu?

As for the receivers, I see there are a couple of options. Is it worthing going with HDTV if I have a new HDTV at home?

you can put the dish on the roof.

for the higher quality receiver, i have no idea coz i don't have a HDTV.
