Generally, they will offer to fix it for you, most car dealership will do this. They won't give you a new one, because the document may have been filed. While your car under fix, they will give you a loaner car to drive, and genarally, they will give you a new car as a loaner car. The cost is paid by the manufacturer.
If they can not fix your car after many attempts, then you can filed compliant to a Canadain organization (forgot the name), and they will held a hearing for your case, and decide if you can ask the manufacturer for a new car.
If it is a brand new one, it is under warranty. The auto maker is liable to repare it or change the whole engine. But you can never return it. This is a common place and general practice. Any product has defects. Don't be surprised. This is the reason why there is the warranty. Good luck!
