Let them open an foreign currency account in Bank of China, then you can send them money directly from Banks here. It's about CDN$45 (I couldn't remember the exact number) no matter how many money you sent. No commission need for Bank of China.

Do you mean that if my family has account in Bank of China, I can send money to the account directly from the bank here such as TD and CIBC, and all the charge on both sides is around $45?

They will only charge you for $45. Your family will get the money for free.

If it is urgent, then you should ask your family to open an American Dollar account or an Canadian Dollar account in any BANK OF CHINA(中国人民银行). You can go to your bank and request to send the money to your family's account by WIRE(也就是国内说的电汇). It takes about 6 days.

you have to give your bank here:
1. The English address of that Bank of China and the English name of the branch of that bank
2. The account number of Bank of China,
3. The English name of the account holder (Bank of China)
4. 你的银行可能没有直接与你那地方的分支中国银行的业务联系，然后你必须在你的银行提供的一个BANK OF CHINA的分支LIST里面挑一个最近的，你的银行会把钱电汇到那个大的银行，然后由那个大的中国银行把你的钱打入到你的亲戚帐户里面。

你家人的地址和你家人所开帐户的中国银行信息应该全部是
英文的，还有国内联系电话，你去银行钱最好先打印出来，保证办理的爽快。

Or you can send money order, service charge is minimal. Your family get to choose withdraw canadian money or Chinese Yuan. But it takes 3 months before they let your family withdraw the money. It works in all the banks and it's safe.

the best way may be, you apply for 2 or 3 credit cards(visa or master card) under same account
and send one of them to your family. they can use the card shopping and cashing from any
store/cash machine and you pay for them at here. it's safe, fast and service charge is limited( shopping for no charge, cash for a few...)

我知道的朋友都是从国内往这边带钱（一般形式是美圆现金）

If it is not that urgent, you can send personal check to your family.
They need go to one Bank of China which has a foreign currency service.
They need to show their ID.
Bank of China charges them for around 50 RMB, and you are free of charge.
But it takes time. It takes 35 days for my family(The first time could be longer,
I am not sure).
