A lot of additives are available on the shelf in CT or Walmart, like injector cleaner, engine cleaner, emission test garanttee, etc. Almost all of them are required to add to the gas tank. I am really not sure whether these things are safe to the machine, although all the instructions do not say they could be harmful to the machine. I just want to know whether any long term effects could be resulted in. Please talk sth about this. Thanks so much.

NEVER USE ANY ENGINE OIL ADDITIVES. THEY KILL YOUR ENGINE. I HAVE SEEN PROOF OF IT
injector cleaners are ok as long as you don't use too much of. It coats your spark plugs.

It really depends on your application. Some of them just wasting money. However, some of the are very effective. Whatever you used, please make sure you know where they should apply to = read instruction carefully. I used DuraLube before (an engine oil additive), I found they actually reduce my car's operating temperature (which is a good sign); although some authority claims they are no different than the regular engine oil.
