Location: Ottawa
PIKA Technologies Inc. is looking for a senior software developer to
join a 15-20 person R&D group. The individual will focus primarily on
technologies in the area of voice processing and signaling
communications. The development environment is both Windows and Linux
based.
Responsibilities
・ Design and develop real-time software for IP Media Servers,
Gateways, and TDM networks.
・ Lead architecture development for key sub-systems, and
contribute to the overall product road map.
・ Provide support for current and legacy applications,
including custom development.
Required
・ Post-secondary degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
・ 8+ years of real-time software design development experience
・ Significant experience developing Microsoft Windows or Linux
device drivers
・ Strong software development skills using C and C++
・ Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex system
architectures
・ Highly developed problem solving skills.
・ Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Desirable
・ Telecom background
・ Experience with VoIP (SIP/RTP/RTCP/RTSP)
・ Experience working with emerging standards and protocols.
・ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
