其实只要能出好片，塑料也行，图个轻便。要用便宜的铁头，买俄罗斯的行了。

windows的边际成本只有一张光盘的钱，也要卖几百刀。那就更骗人了，还不是卖的很好。

这样的塑料头也能这个价格销售出去，只能说明佳能的竞争力超强。

暴利才吸引人才，推动创新。

Come on:

It is customer's choice to buy or not. You would like to buy it if you like it and believe it is worth for the price. Otherwise don't buy it or you falled in unhappy mood after bought it. BTW, it was sold at C$1499+Tx <12 months ago.

Life is so short, enjoy your life every day and every moment.

actually, I am on customer side either.



there are 2 assumption validity problems

1. steel=good and plastic=bad?

2. In free competition market, the company which has good profit makes good products or the bad one makes?

2. consider comparing Leica and Canon. who making better stuff,Optically? except canon's 200/1.8L.

Market is the judge. In free competition market, if this lens can get enough market share, it is worth the price. customers are not fools. In this room, I know 4 guys own this lens which is only less than EFS 18-55

Free competition market: ( marketshare of canon)^2+( marketshare of nikon)^2+ (marketshare of pentax)^2+.....< 0.6

1: I think you mean steel is better than plastic. If all users drop their lens into the sea , it is true. But most users use L lens very carefully. And in humid environment, plastic lasts longer than steel

2: I believe Leica makes more money on each lens. So Leica makes better lens.

BTW, Canon and Leica are not in same market.
