working 30 hours, but only get pay 19 hours, what can we do?

Working in one garage near intersection Bronson/Gladstone.

The total working hour for one week is 30 hours, but I only get paid for 19 hours.

Under this situation, what can we do???

Don't panic yet - check the paystub and see the pay period ending date. Maybe the other hours will be on next pay.

If within the pay period you worked 30 hours but only getting paid 19, ask the manager.

Did you just start the work?

Some company won't pay the first one or two days of trainning.

Any time card?

some place keep first 2 weeks,when you leave they will pay you back..

already sent email to the employer.

no time card,

working hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm, pay: $8:00/hour, the employee provide all the working clothes, safety shoes, safety glass by themselves.

sometimes in the morning, go to the company, the supervisor told me to go home, say today no job.

sometimes at noon, told me to go home, say no more job for today.

but if you worked there, you should do everything, like cleaning, including washroom.

you should have your time sheet and write down your working hours every day even some details of work everyday and get the manager's signature for everyweek's time sheet. You should know it clearly that if the job is on call job. If it is on call job,you should not go to work before you get informed because you waste you time on that day.

If it is NOT on call job and you go to the company everyday,they should pay you 3 hours for showing up on that day. (I do not know if it is a rule but they should). Try to write 3 hours and see if you can get.

If you can only get 19 hours in five days and need show up every day, then you should not keep this job. There are too much problems and questions.
