i shipped my car from vancouver to toronto for about $900~$1000 with the following company: L. Hansen's Forwarding 1888 4208888

u can stuff small things inside the car and ship parcel with greyhound. That's what i did. Greyhound has fair rate for parcel shipping. Do some comparison anyway. like Purolator and etc...
i am not sure what to do with big piece furnitures though other than specialized moving company since i have no furnitures. but that won't be worthwile unless u have some real good furnitures to move around. good luck !

It costed me more than $5,000 to move from Vancovuer to Ottawa (one-bedroom apt). The total cost depends on weight and distance.. and my price includes a car shipment as well.

I shipped a car to Vancouver from Ottawa before. I used Sea Rail. They will come to your house, and put your car on a flatbed truck (no towing required). They driver will go through the car and mark down any damage that may have before they load the car. You will need to leave the key inside of your car for loading purposes.

You can also put stuffs in your car. But I will not recommend to put valuable items. It takes about 2 weeks to arrive Vancouver. The cost is CAD$970 for dropping the car off at the rail station. If you pay $30 dollar more, they will hire a driver and a flatbed truck to your door for pickup (I went with this option).

Greyhound is a good choice for shipping big boxes or some large items such as tires,and ski. They have restriction on the size and wight, call them to find out.

For beds or sofa, you may want to try the moving companies or shipping companies; be prepared what you are going to shipped; they need this information for price calculation.
