A question regarding updating my TN visa

I am currently working in US with a TN visa, I want to change a job in near future, suppose a new job is still in US. Should I give up my current TN visa and apply a new TN, or simply request a change on my existing TN visa. If I have to reapply, do I have to come back to US/Canada border for the process? If you change job, you must apply for a brand new TN visa.
