I sent them post-dated check. They can deposit in the bank in China. It may take up to 2 month to clear the check. But it is not a problem if you do it on a regular basis. The cost is only 20 something RMB charged by Chinese bank.
just regular personal checks from canada could do? people in china just take this personal check and go to bank of china to deposit?
is bank of china the only bank can do this in china?

Let your parents open a US account in Bank of China first, then you can transfer you money from your account to their account.It's pretty quick(takes severy days to settle down between banks) and not that expensive.
Yes, regular check will do. Just make the "pay to the order of" to your parent (chinese character is ok) and state CAD as the currency. As far as I know,any bank dealing with personal foreign currency account can do that. My parents are doing that at JiaoTong Bank. Only draw back is that they have to do that in the 总行 instead of any branch.
