I need to cross Can-US border to get my landing paper. Do I need US visa, even I just want to make an U-turn at the border?

Bring your Canadian immgartion paper and passport with you!
My experience did not require a US visa. Just park your car at the Canadian side. Walk to the American boarder into the US immigration building, and explain to the US immigration officer you need to do a boarder crossing to establish your Canadian landing status, he/she may want to see your landing paper and will show you the side door back to Canada. Once you are in the Canadian immigration building, following their procedure for landing admission. You will need to declare any goods you want to bring to Canada to the Customer officer. Not sure if yo have already pay the landing fee, if not, the landing fee is around 900 dollar. The immigration officer will ask you how much money you bring into Canada to support yourself. If all the criteria are satisfied, then the immigartion officer will formally admitted you as a land immigrant.
