QA Engineer (Kanata)
The purpose of the Quality Engineer will be to define, develop, implement and maintain elements of quality systems to ensure quality requirements for products and services are consistently achieved.
The position requires significant product and systems related knowledge. This position requires someone who is willing to working in a project team environment.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Contributes to the design, development and implementation of comprehensive product assurance plans and processes including quality feedback and corrective action systems for engineering, manufacturing and service operations, including field operations and supplier performance.
Supports education and training processes to assist in ensuring quality standards awareness.
Develops, implements and maintains preventive quality systems.
Reviews engineering, manufacturing and service operation work processes, plans and products for completeness and compliance to established specifications and standards.
Develops documentation programs to ensure compliance to applicable configuration control requirements.
Monitors/audits certain functional activities for conformance to required programs and procedures including verification and qualification tests.
Maintains internal contacts with engineering, software development and manufacturing areas for regulatory requirements and quality assurance implementation, may have contacts with any area as needed.
As the ideal candidate for our team you will bring the following education, experiences, knowledge, and skills to the position:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of Quality experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a project team environment and contribute effectively to the mission and success of the team.
Excellent writing skills.
Good problem identification and solving ability.
Proficiency with use of computers and standard software programs (e.g. Word and Excel).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills ensuring the ability to interact with clients, other contractor personnel and peers in a professional manner.
An understanding of medical device development and manufacturing processes employed in the industry.
Strong statistical ability.
