[问题] 大家觉得stonebridge这个小区如何?

stonebridge这个小区在Barharven的南边一点,woodroffe的尽头.有咱们的中国同胞在那儿买房吗?那地方以前是不是什么垃圾场,有毒废料场,沼泽地之类的?

听说这个小区first release时,不少人大清早就去排队,为的是能挑到最满意的lot, 还有人当场写deposit cheque(from Ottawa Citizen, 不是亲眼所见).别的不清楚,只知道附近有golf course.

Do you mean the haunted house in Manotick? There may be a few farm house in the Stonebridge area, but I did not hear any thing famous/infamous there.

Well there is a haunted house there, i read on Barrhaven community news. I went there couple of times to take a look (from outside only); it was on the newspaper because someone is rebuilding that house, maybe to resell it.....

Do you know where can I find "Barrhaven community news"? or is there a website for this?

If you can tell me the location of the house, I will visit the ghost/monster/vampire/black witch by myself :bsmile:

It's a community newspaper that delivered to my house once in a while.

I remembered it is right next to a road...I think it's Prince of Wales Drive.. the house has a seperate garage (3 doors), it's a small size house, opposite some new town houses. That house is very "obvious", it's very single out. It "sinks" into a piece of land which is lower than the regular road level. Last time I went there I remembered seeing some tall very old trees surround it.

StoneBridge is an award-winning community. My ex-colleague bought a single 2-storeys there, built by Monarch, end lot on a cul-de-sac street, backs onto NCC trails and overlooking the 15th hole of the golf court. His property tax last year is over $6000 though.

The other side of the river is better, I think....
