买地盖房可行吗？

想知道这里有没有人自己买块地，然后找人盖房子的呢？不知道这样做的利弊是什么？

可行. But much more expensive; on the other hand, you can get a house exactly the way you like it - custome house. You have to pay for the land, the designing cost, and the house...

my boss build his own house in Gatineau,was cheaper..

The more you do yourself,the cheaper.
If you hire other persons to do all jobs, much more expensive.

Not necessarily. A colleague of mine built his own home in Chelsea with a pre-fab home. The saving is enormous, and quality much superior to builder-built ones. However it does take a lot of effort to plan and supervise the entire building process.

He used a pre-fab manufacturer from Quebec City.
