The Oracle/DB2/J2EE Developer will deliver high quality modifications and support for DB2 and Oracle platforms to meet functional requirements with minimal supervision; Manage own workload to meet assigned deadlines, to achieve quick turnaround on cases; Troubleshoot issues, document solutions, communicate to business and technical resources and work toward sustainable Microsoft solutions; Document and share knowledge with team and business partners; Test, confirm, and document DB2 and Oracle and supporting applications; Responsible for knowledge transfer to the team; Assist cutover and Go-Live activities.

Qualifications:


5+ years experience primarily with Java, J2EE with emphasis on JSP and JDBC, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Object Oriented Design, and Unified Modeling Language
Secondary experience with PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle, DB2, Jakarta Ant, and Java Security
DB2 and Oracle performance expertise
Worked or familiar with some new Oracle features present in Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g like collections and objects
Good knowledge of DB2 and Oracle design, development, diagnostic tools, architectures, and administration
DB2 and Oracle professional certification preferred
Experience with Object Oriented familiarity, OLAP, and database archive and backup an asset
Experienced in functional and technical specification development
Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
Able to communicate ideas in a concise and clear way
General business knowledge and excellent communication skills

3-5 years experience in Oracle Applications. Experienced with PL/SQL, Perl, Unix scripts, stored procedures, familiar with OLAP
3-5 year experience with Java, JSP, and J2EE
Good knowledge of Oracle development, diagnostic tools, and architectures
Good knowledge of Electronics and High Tech industry practices, portal and shared applications
Oracle professional certification preferred Some knowledge in XML and data sourcing, and FTP, etc
Experience in testing and production delivery
Familiar with change control processes and procedures
Experienced in functional and technical specification development
Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
General business knowledge and excellent communication skills
