为了同龄的年轻人
--首都地区青少年为“12.26” 海啸受灾儿童赈灾义演
为帮助在“12.26” 地震海啸中蒙灾受难的少年儿童。首都地区部分优秀青少年音乐家将于1月30日(星期天) 下午2:30，在加拿大国家图书档案馆(395Wellington Street) 举办名为“By Youth, For Youth” 的音乐义演。
参加义演的年轻音乐家均来自首都地区的中小学，且在省，市，或全国比赛中获过奖，其中有 2004年全国比赛钢琴第一名的陈十方和第二名的程洵佳，小提琴第二名的梁乔信，以及进入长笛决赛的Alice Bernier。节目包括器乐(钢琴，大/小提琴，长笛等) 和声乐(独唱、合唱) ，以宣扬人道与爱心的经典作品为主。
年轻的音乐家，不仅将通过音乐来表达对受灾儿童的关爱和提供帮助，还将为观众献上高质量的艺术作品。这对其他音乐学生将起到示范与激励的作用。

Bishop Hamilton School Select Choir is an auditioned choir of students from grades 3 to 8. They have performed at various events throughout the city, including a private performance for Prime Minister Paul Martin in December 2004.

11-year-old Mitchell started violin at 3 and has taken part in Kiwanis Music Festival, Canadian Music Competition since he was 5. He was the National Finalist at 2002 CMC. 9-year-old Jeremy was invited performer in the Kiwanis Highlights Concert in 2003 and performs at the Young String Performers concerts regularly. Both Mitchell and Jeremy are home schooled.
