一般是一个月估计，一个月实测。去年我还付过近500呢。
可以自己看看表，然后打电话告诉他们让他们改一下。
一般第一年容易出现这种情况。

平均而言我家是110-120 per month.

我家上个月$256， Townhouse end unit.平均温度在21度，家里24小时有人。所以你的$300多正常。

you must spill out how big ur house is

if your house is a 2 story single over 2000 feet, 300.00 is the mim if you want a confortable indoor temperature (20+C). also, your natual gas company dosn't come to read the meter every month, every at least another month reading is an "estimate" based on the previous one, so if you think think this month reading (reading not the dollar number) is way higher than usual, the next month will drop down to sub-average. don't worry, you are not the only one that suffers hefty heating bills. after all $300.00 is not an outrageous rate. but if you get a $500.00 bill like the guy below, I would investigate into it.

I've just gathered some real data from the last 12 months (02-03):

Energy cost:
Gas: 200/month
Hydro: 70/month
Water: 30/month
----------------
TOTAL: 300/month

Some comparative data:
House size: 2160 sq. ft.
Number of people in house: 2-3
Room temperatures winter (home/sleep/away): 22/19/16.5
Room temperatures summer (home/sleep/away): 22/20/27

damn it , I pay $266....Some people have to turn to 23C that's one more reason I have to let her go.

I had seen 24 C and 25 C, and she wear sleevless.

But energy costs really depend on your lifestyle: are you using a dryer instead of flat-dry your washed cloths; do you turn down the temperature when you are not at home; do you keep your computers plugged in and turned on at all times; do you have small children...the list goes on.

Comparison simply by house size doesn't give you a fair picture. And really compare with yourself to find out sudden ups and downs, but there is no need to compare with someone else.
