In order to terminate your High Speed service, you must contact our
Business Office by calling our toll-free number 310-SURF (7873). As per
our service agreement, this procedure is mandatory for security purposes
and to ensure that the correct account is cancelled. The Agent will
require that you provide your User ID and SPIN number and arrange for
the return of the High Speed modem. Please note, that calling Bell
Canada or returning your modem to a Bell World store does not justify a
cancellation. The account will remain active until a call is made to our
billing office and cancelled as per our policy.
Once you have cancelled your account, you will receive a cancellation
letter from us along with instructions on how to return the modem. You
must affix the bar code sticker, included with this letter, to the
modem. Once this has been done, you can simply return the modem via
Canada Post. We advise you to keep the receipt that Canada Post will
issue to you. Please note the modem must be returned within 15 calendar
days of the cancellation, otherwise, a fee of $180.00 (+ taxes) will be
applied.
Once you contact us to cancel, your service will be disconnected at the
end of your billing period. To avoid additional billing, we do require
72 hours notice prior to your billing date.
