用百叶窗帘的理由？

看到许多新房的一楼都用的是百叶窗帘，大家能说说有什么优点吗？我理解是在夏天的时候开窗可以通气，又可以挡光。
大家还有何高见吗？

Custom-made blinds are not cheap. Some ready-to-use ones are, but finding the right dimensions is the challenge.
Go to the usual places: Home Depot, Rona, Walmart, Ikea and take a look. You can order blinds from Costco as well, but I'm not sure if the price is competitive. Blinds to Go is not as cheap as they advertized.

At most of these stores, you can have wider blinds cut to your required width for free.
