I've received an invitation letter from god-knows-who company, which will provide a free dinner for two, a free organizer after a 90-minute internet marketing conference. What kind of risk could it be? Anybody sharing your experience will be appreciated.

Sounds like one of those multilevel marketing companies such as Amway
Look for any fine print in the ticket.
Keep in mind that there is no fee lunch.

Most likely they will collect your name, mailing address, phone number, and email. And they will start calling you , mailing you regarding their marketing activities.
