Side Mirrors

I broken two side mirrors last winter for my Ford Winstar. I spent almost $500.00 to replce them with two used ones. Unluckly, I broken my driver side mirror again today :-(. Any ideas where I can get a cheaper user mirror to replace the broken one?

Drive to the intersection of Preston&Somerset, then turn to South and keep driving along Preston. After passing the highway 417 bridge, about 200m, there is a place which only repairs mirrors. You can go there to take a look. I heard it is the cheapest place to repair mirrors.

Check the yellow pages or website for "Auto Recycle Stores" in Ottawa area, which sell all kind of used parts for all kind of years in all kind of mades. I got one real-lamp at $45 after a couple of searching and saved a lot. You can compare prices from many stores. Hope this helpful for you.

I was told that people could walk around in a junk yard and select what they want at very low prices. But I didn't meet one in Ottawa. What I mentioned here is a kind of business who collects collision cars and disassemble or classify all parts in computer system to sell. Once you contact one, they will ask your car's year, made, model and part, then check their system and give you an accurate answer: available or not, with price. So after a couple of phone calls, you could decide to buy from one of them, which will reserver that part for you. However, most of them are about 20-30KM far away from Ottawa Center. Good luck! (Definitely, the price in this kind of business is expensive than in junk yard, but less than 25% of a new part.)
