今年春节为了躲避渥太华的寒冬去了一趟古巴。所去的地方是一个度假村，叫作veradero，距离古巴首都哈瓦那大约三四百公里。度假村坐落在一座一条狭长的半岛上，由一条人工运河与当地居民隔开。半岛上全是涉外酒店以及古巴革命以前由美国南下的黑手党老大所盖的别墅。这些漂亮的别墅目前由常驻古巴的外国人居住或者改成了涉外酒店。从饭店只需走几十米就可以看到白色的沙滩、清澈见底的大海。
全世界所有的沙滩都大同小异。古巴吸引人的还是历史悠久、风情万种的首都哈瓦那。as one old saying goes, one picture is worth thousand words, below are some of the pic I took from cuba. They have been scaled down from 3mb each to less than 1mb to fit in here.
The trip is very reasonobly priced: 700-1,000 dollar per person, all inclusive for 1 week. of course, excursions (like those I took on to Havana) are extra. All in all, it's a trip that is worth every dollar you spent. Highly recommanded for those crave for some sunshine in these long winters of Ottawa.
Speaking of Havana, there're 2 things that come accross the mind of everyone, the Havana club rum [a hard liquor made of sugar] and the Havana Cigar. Below is an old cigar-smoking Havana fellow, posing there for people to take picture of him--for a dollar usd each. note he's blind.
