U2 to play in Ottawa in November

OTTAWA ? The Irish megaband U2 is coming to Ottawa on Nov. 25.
The Irish megaband will play the Corel Centre, as part of its Vertigo Tour.
U2 plans to practice in Vancouver before the tour starts this month.
The band will also play at Vancouver's GM Place on April 28 and 29. Those shows … the only Canadian gigs outside of the Ottawa event d are both sold out.
Last month, Prime Minister Paul Martin told a private radio station in Ottawa he would use his influence to try to get U2 to come to the capital.
BOB-FM said it would change its name to PAUL-FM, if the PM would tap into his friendship with U2's lead singer Bono.
