关于选加湿器的问题

记得有人推荐过一些型号,找不到了. 我喜欢国内亚都超声波的,既省电,又静音.不知渥村有无类似的产品.我现在看了几款,都是用风扇或电加热,不喜欢.有经验的人能推荐一下吗? 先谢谢了!

You can google "ultrasonic humidifier" there are many brands available, such as:
* Air-O-Swiss
* Family Care
* HOLMES
* Kaz
* SunBeam
* Sunpentown
* Vicks

Walmart carries SunBeam, so you can check that out, but I briefly browsed the reviews on Amazon.com, and they are not very encouraging, so select the models that fit your personal needs.

不知现在技术改进了没, 以前的超声波加湿器的通病是用久了就会有很多白色沉淀.

General 1042 (flow-through type) is the brand that lots of people including myself have. The price is around $350 (parts and labor).

Do I have to ask my original furnace contactor to put the humidifier to keep the heating furnace warranty? I know the cut will be needed on the duct for humidifier installation. Same thing for DIY garage door opener which will cause the door warranty void.

Same thing for DIY garage door opener which will cause the door warranty void.

Not sure about that. A furnace warranty is in the range of 10-20 years while a garage door warranty is probably one year. If you lubricate the spring regularly the chance by which the garage door is not functioning can be ignored.

If the garage door is not properly balanced you will still need to call a pro to do adjustment for you and end up giving out money again from the DIY saving in opener installation. How did you guys deal with door balance issue? Is it hard to adjust spring by myself? Thanks

What do you mean by "garage door balance"? Are you talking about the leveling of the beam of the automatic door opener?
The door should be properly installed (or balanced) by the builder regardless of the method of openning it.

What do you mean by "garage door balance"? Are you talking about the leveling of the beam of the automatic door opener?
The door should be properly installed (or balanced) by the builder regardless of the method of openning it.

I have a feeling that you inappropriately intepreted the instruction manual.

The meaning of the expressions "the garage door should be put to be balanced before to install opener" should be construed as being:

"prior to connecting to the opener, the door should be placed at a balanced position, i.e., a still position, half open, not going up or down by itself".

If you have to adjust the spring, the openner is not properly installed.

You only need to have a little bit tuning of the openner in order to completely open or close the door.
