Then choose Page Setup
Click Layout Tab
you will find there is one option for Headers and Footers:
Different odd and even
check that checkbox, now you can define your Odd Page Footer and Even page footer.

But, tried it, seems the Page Number only could have one format through the document...

而且我需要的是前12页用罗马数字i,ii,etc. 然后后面的全用阿拉伯数字。可是如果我改 header and footer的话，影响的是全部。可是这绝对是可能的，因为我见别人用过。

这个就简单多了，你可以把前12页定义成一个section, 后面的是另外一个section, 不同的section 可以用不同的页码定义。

我还以为你想单数用一种页码，双数用另外一种呢。

在你要该页码的那一页，选择menu insert->break
then click Next Page.

Now you have two sections. And then you can define the page number in the different sections.

最后一个问题，我希望前4页没有页数显示，然后8页用罗马数字，剩下的全部用阿拉伯数字。我也分了3个sections，可是如果我把前四页的页数去掉的话，后面的两个sections的页数也就都没有了。可是只要我不把页数去掉，section们的功能就都运行良好。有什么办法吗？先谢了。
