[问题] Size of Central Air

What's the best size for a townhouse with 1800 sqft in total and 1650 sqft excluding basement (the main windows face south-east)? A Sears associate recommended 1.5 ton, but others said 2 ton. Does anyone here know from his/her own experience which is better for Ottawa's summer? Many thanks.

A 2-ton AC is enough for a townhome le. You can probably get away with only 1.5 tons if your family is not very picky about heat.

Thanks. I hope a 2-ton can perform as well as a smaller sized one in terms of dehumidification.
