我代朋友问的,她在国内的公司工作,在加拿大有报税的.现在公司裁员,不知能否拿到E.I. ,所以想准备一下. 想看看Laid-off信怎麽写的,要公证吗?谢谢.

你朋友是在加拿大公司驻国内的分公司工作,然后她的薪水是由加拿大母公司发出并按加拿大的政策扣EI, CPP 和TAX 吗? 如果是这样, 那可以拿. 如果你朋友只是在一家中国的公司工作, 那加拿大政府不可能给她EI, 和她交不交这里的税无关.

是我朋友要自己写Laid-off信，用以领EI.她会在加拿大的.

This is impossible. The laid-off letter must be reported by an emplyed company. It is useless for your freind to write it.

Tell your friend, don't waste time and effort for this. As she worked there in China, she, for sure, didn't have any deduction for EI (EI payment) to the Canadian Government.
EI benefits are for these people who work inside Canada and pay EI (EI deductions on their pay cheques).

你即使编了这样的信,也会被HR打回来的,人家会把你的信作为反面教材来培训他们的雇员的,以后这里的中国人真的需要EI的时候,人家就会用额外的怀疑眼光看这些中国人(或亚裔).

你要明白EI的钱从哪里来,是从在加拿大工作的人的工资中按最高工资$39000的一个比例由加拿大雇主替雇员付的.你朋友在中国上班,中国公司能给加拿大HR/税务局付EI的CONTRIBUTION 吗???显然不可能.即使你编一个CANADA的雇主,人家有电脑记录的.加拿大人不傻.

你朋友要是真的把这种信拿去申请,对他没有一点好处,HR还要在档案中记录一笔FRAUD.后果嘛,自己想想吧....

为这点钱,编这些东西,实在没意思.还坏了名声.没人能得利.是个典型的"LOSE-LOSE"情况.

By the way, can we Chinese learn to follow the law, rules and common sense? We'd better abandon the bad hahbits we are all so used to in China and "do in Rome as Romans do"!

It is really a shame to even think of doing things like this.
