想自己打fence，可是需要找人打桩，这重体力活自己做真有点儿发怵。。大家有没有好的打桩的公司可以推荐呢？谢谢:thanks:

I made it!

1. Hired Perfect Post Hole to do the posts (13 of them)- half day.
2. one evening (after dinner to dark) to clean the dirt left
4. two evenings to install the rails with a friend..lots of the cuttings
5. Saturday morning and afternoon to attach the boards with a freind (200 of them in total)
6. Two housrs to make the door

....good job!

Can you please post the costs in installation of the post and where and cost of buying the fence.

Perfect Post Hole (860 0663) - they charged 28 + GST = 29.96 for each post

The service includes: dig the hole, align the post and concrete it (crush stone and concrete included)...

You need to measure your yard and mark the post positions and supply the posts...

As for the materials, it all depends, e.g PT vs Cedar, 6 foot spacing vs 8 foot spacing for the posts, screw vs nail...

Go Home Depot, tell them your requirenments, they will caluculate for you...

not necessaily true. I will build a patio only because I have a walk-out basement (I like the the deck though)...but deck on the ground without stairs looks funny to me...I am using 2 ft by 2 ft flagstone to build the patio, each stone is roughly 60 pounds, it is a tough job..

where did you get those flagstones? I saw the 2x2 ft stone in RONA is about 4.98 CND/stone.

I got the flagstones from Home Depot, (7.18 + Tax) each, it looks like made of red bricks (same price in Rona)...But don't follow me, Canlok has very nice flagstones (quite a few choices as well)...But before I went to Canlok, I already paid HD $50 to deliever them, and I don't want to pay another $50 or more to return them

HD flagstones are likely to be from Ontario, random lime flagstone if I'm not mistaken.

Builders on east end has Nova Scotia slates, 26 cents for one pound. To cover about 120 sq.ft. of area, you'll need about 1.5 tons of Nova Scotia slates. This is an expensive type of flagstone, but very very nice.

Pennsylvanian and New Brunswick flagstones are also very nice.

Canlok also has a yellowish granite square cut from China, for about $8/sq.ft.
