I heard from Direct Energy that Canada will enact more restrictive energy efficiency rules for Central Airs, starting Jan. 2006. C/A manufactured following that date will have to have SEER of at least 13. Please see the document below.
My question is: how will this affect the prices of these SEER 13 units next year? Will they come down? Is it a bad time to buy those SEER 10 units this year?
